The Sovereign makes a subtle, yet striking statement in the architecture of Old Town Victoria. Finishes are handsome limestone, brick and black granite, striking a balance that both blends into the street and makes a statement.

Lobbies are a building’s first social space and its welcome home: The Sovereign’s lobby has a sparkling Caboche Grande chandelier, an original oil painting, coffered ceilings, custom millwork and, recessed into a stone surround, a fireplace. First impressions, after all, are the ones that last.
The Sovereign’s interiors are a masterful mix of the modern with a warmth and character that befits the City’s most storied neighbourhood.
The interior designer paid respect to the Old Town setting but injected a warm urban glamour with cosmopolitan finishes, distinctive granites, wideplank hardwood flooring and 100% pure wool carpeting, among much else. The Sovereign’s 36 suites offer a refined comfort that will be luxurious forever.

Victoria’s Downtown is the most rapidly growing neighbourhood in the city. New residents of all ages are attracted to the area’s rich historic character and its vibrant waterfront. The downtown has a thriving arts, culture and entertainment district combined with an impressive variety of dining and shopping choices, all within easy walking distance. The Royal BC Museum and Chinatown (Canada’s oldest) are perennial attractions for visitors and Victoria residents.
