To the south, the Olympic Mountains form a massive, snow-capped wall rising above the 32-km wide Strait of Juan de Fuca. Dallas Road winds along the ocean front and is the southern-most road in Victoria. A 250 meter greenbelt along its southern median sits above a long 30-meter cliff providing wonderful views of the mountains, water, grass and sky. Downtown Victoria
Originally, Victoria was the first stage for prospectors and miners heading to the Caribou and Yukon gold-rushes. Inner Harour
